PSC Girder Bridge Design for Feasibility Study of 2-Lane to 4-Lane Highway Upgradation, Narshingdi

D8 Consultants Ltd. (D8CL), in collaboration with OCL, has completed the preliminary PSC (Prestressed Concrete) girder bridge designs as part of the feasibility study for upgrading an 11 km highway from 2 lanes to 4 lanes under the Roads and Highways Department (RHD), Narshingdi.

The project focuses on enhancing regional connectivity, traffic capacity, and road safety while ensuring long-term structural performance. D8CL’s scope included:

• Detailed site surveys and traffic assessment to inform bridge alignment

• Geotechnical investigations for foundation design

• Development of PSC girder bridge layouts suitable for widened highway lanes

• Optimization of span configurations and load capacities for future traffic demand
