D8 Consultants Ltd. MD & CEO Visits NSU CEE Department to Explore Industry-Academia Collaboration

DHAKA, Bangladesh – Jaher Wasim, Managing Director & CEO of D8 Consultants Ltd. (D8CL), recently visited the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department of North South University (NSU) to strengthen ties between academia and industry. During the visit, Mr. Wasim held a productive meeting with Dr. Ashfaq, Chairman of the CEE Department, along with Dr. Redwan, Assistant Professor, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration in research, education, and professional development.

The meeting focused on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between D8CL and NSU CEE Department, aimed at fostering joint research initiatives, knowledge sharing, and practical training opportunities for students. The collaboration is expected to create synergies between academic research and real-world engineering projects, enabling students to gain hands-on experience while contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions.

Mr. Wasim emphasized D8CL’s commitment to bridging the gap between industry and academia, stating, “Partnerships like these are crucial to developing the next generation of engineers who are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.”
