Engr. Jaher Wasim is the Managing Director & CEO of D8 Consultants Ltd. (D8CL) — a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm renowned for its innovation, technical excellence, and client-focused solutions.
With extensive experience in the design and management of complex infrastructure projects, Engr. Wasim has led multidisciplinary teams in delivering bridges, tall buildings, industrial facilities, jetties, and transportation structures across Bangladesh and abroad. His professional expertise spans structural design, seismic resilience, and infrastructure sustainability, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing safe and future-ready engineering practices.
Under his leadership, D8CL has grown into a globally connected consultancy, collaborating with partners from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Japan, Vietnam, and the USA. His forward-thinking approach continues to guide the firm’s mission to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-quality engineering solutions that contribute to resilient infrastructure development.
Engr. Wasim is an active member of several internationally recognized professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE, USA), the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE, Japan), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE, UK), the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI, USA), and the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB). He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PEng) under the Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board (BPERB) and a certified Structural Engineer (SEng) under the RAJUK Urban Resilience Project, supported by the World Bank. He is also a Registered Structural Engineer in the ECPS system of RAJUK, authorized for the design of buildings of unlimited height.
